The Lead Research Center (LRC) is committed to building a just, inclusive, and sustainable society in South Sudan. Through research, innovation, and advocacy, LRC strengthens systems that protect rights, empower communities, and promote resilience against climate and social challenges.
Our Four Strategic Pillars
- Access to Justice: Providing free legal aid, rights education, and litigation support for vulnerable groups, including women, children, IDPs, returnees, and survivors of GBV. Mobile courts and community outreach initiatives strengthen the rule of law and ensure justice is accessible to all.
- Digital Innovation Harnessing technology to improve transparency and service delivery. LRC develops tailored digital tools for case management, civic engagement, access to market and outreach in underserved areas, expanding sustainability, access to justice and accountability.
- Data Management Building secure data systems and evidence‑based frameworks to guide programming, strengthen accountability, and inform policy. Rigorous monitoring and evaluation ensure interventions are impactful and responsive to community needs.
- Environmental Protection & Climate Adaptation Advocating for climate justice and supporting grassroots initiatives to build resilience against floods, droughts, and displacement. Environmental protection is integrated into community development to safeguard livelihoods and promote sustainability.
South Sudan faces overlapping shocks—conflict, climate change, and displacement—that threaten lives and livelihoods. LRC calls on partners, donors, and policymakers to join us in strengthening justice systems, harnessing technology, and building climate resilience for a sustainable future.
